How to Convert Windows Movie Maker to OS X 10.11, 10.10, 10.9:
Click Add File on the top menu to load WMV Video files
Note: If you have a Windows machine, Please export video as WMV format in WMM first:
A Windows Movie Maker file( .mswmm) is not video file actually. It is a project file of Windows Movie Maker (some sort of a text file, there are not any video). You have to open this file in WMM and save the movie to your computer:
Go Finish Movie, Save to my computer. After that you will have a WMV file which can be converted to avi, MPEG, 3GP, MP3 etc video and audio format or burned to DVD.
Click Output Format pull down list to Select output video format
e.g. Select .FLV foramt from Common Video list for upload video to YouTube.
Select .Mov format from Common Video list for play video with QuickTime
Select MP3 format from Common Audio list for play Audio with Mp3 Player.
Click Start Button at the bottom
Click Open on the bottom middle to find the converted files.
How to Convert movie to Windows Movie Maker formats for OS X 10.11, 10.10, 10.9:
- Click Add File on the top menu to load Video files for video to WMM conversion
Click Output Format pull down list to Select output video/audio format
For Import video to WMM:
Here, we select WMV Video(*.wmv) format or AVI -Audio-Video-Interleaved(RawVideo)(*.AVI) format from General Video list.
For import audio to WMM:
Here, we select WAV -WaveForm Audio(*.wav) format or WMA -Microsoft WMA Encoder(*.wma) format from General Audio list.
Click Start Button at the bottom of the Window
Click Open on the bottom middle to find the converted video files.
